How this site is made
roudari.xyz is a small Node.js and Express server. Pages are EJS templates that share one layout, so the header, the night sky and the treeline at the bottom are written once.
The front end is hand-written CSS and a little plain JavaScript, with no frameworks and no build step. The snow and the stars are drawn on a canvas. Headings, captions and the quote are set in Fraunces (SIL Open Font License), served from this server. Body text uses your system's fonts.
What it doesn't do
- No cookies, analytics, ads or tracking pixels.
- No requests to anyone else's servers. Every file comes from here.
- Your theme and animation choices are remembered in your own browser's storage and never sent anywhere.
- Images and videos are re-encoded before they go online, which strips hidden metadata like generation prompts, file paths and camera details.
The Lantern Keeper
The hooded creature on every tab sets the mood for the whole site: the night palette, the glow of its eyes, the stripes of its scarf, and the runes on its stone, loosely redrawn to mark each section of the front page.
The games live alongside the site as separate builds: Monster Merchant and Whirlward.
